PSGC Code Lookup — Philippine Standard Geographic Code

PSGC is the Philippines geographic classifier. It is useful whenever a business, permit, filing or dataset needs a standard location layer, from region down to barangay.

PSGC regions

Start with the region layer, then move toward the province, city, municipality or barangay that matches the location.

Current datafile Previous quarter
Region Region I

Ilocos Region

A practical entry point for northwestern Luzon geography, with a compact regional identity that appears often in location-based business, logistics and reporting workflows.

Use it when the question is about an address, permit or registration record tied to the Ilocos region rather than an industry or occupation code.
Region Region II

Cagayan Valley

A geography node for the northeastern Luzon corridor, useful when a business location or public record needs region-level standardization.

Use it for location filtering, LGU references and regional analysis where the business sits in Cagayan Valley and the PSIC layer should be paired with geography.
Region Region III

Central Luzon

A high-volume industrial and commercial region where location coding often matters in registration, supply chain and investment narratives.

Use it when a filing, dataset or map needs to distinguish Central Luzon from other Luzon regions in a clean PSGC-based way.
Region Region IV-A

CALABARZON

One of the most frequently cited business regions in the Philippines, especially when firms need to separate southern Luzon addresses from Metro Manila.

Use it for location-specific pages, regional permit references and enterprise datasets that need a precise CALABARZON branch or office position.
Region Region IV-B

MIMAROPA Region

A region that often appears in tourism, agriculture and island logistics contexts, making its official geography code useful for place-specific content.

Use it when the administrative question is tied to MIMAROPA rather than a business activity or job role.
Region Region V

Bicol Region

A region-level geography entry that matters when a record, permit or dataset needs a clean Bicol assignment rather than a broader Luzon label.

Use it for regional address normalization, location-based search and local business content that needs Bicol separation.
Region Region VI

Western Visayas

A geography node for the western Visayas belt, often useful for regional business, trade and tourism pages.

Use it when the location question is about a Western Visayas establishment, office or local administrative record.
Region Region VII

Central Visayas

A central island-group geography entry with strong commercial and administrative relevance across Cebu and nearby provinces.

Use it for city, province and regional grouping when Central Visayas is the right official place label.
Region Region VIII

Eastern Visayas

A region node that helps separate eastern island-group locations from the rest of the country in official content and datasets.

Use it for regional filings, local searches and place-based filtering tied to Eastern Visayas.
Region Region IX

Zamboanga Peninsula

A west Mindanao geography label often needed when business, trade or public records need a formal regional anchor.

Use it when the location is in the Zamboanga Peninsula and you need a PSGC-based route for downstream city or province pages later.
Region Region X

Northern Mindanao

A regional geography reference for northern Mindanao addresses, operations and administrative records.

Use it for company location, permit research and regional content where Northern Mindanao is the proper standard label.
Region Region XI

Davao Region

A region page for the Davao administrative area, useful when content needs a clean location layer distinct from business activity classification.

Use it for Davao-based branch, office or permit references and as the place layer under PSIC business pages.
Region Region XII

SOCCSKSARGEN

A standard regional label for the south-central Mindanao area, often used in permit and reporting workflows that require a proper place code.

Use it whenever a record is tied to SOCCSKSARGEN and you need a normalized geography term rather than a descriptive short form.
Region Region XIII

Caraga

A northeastern Mindanao geography page that supports regional browsing and location-aware reference content.

Use it when the relevant place is Caraga and the user needs the official region before drilling into province or city data.
Region NIR

Negros Island Region

A region-level page for the Negros island group, useful when a business or address is located in the newly organized island region.

Use it for island-region business content, permits and local reference pages where Negros Island Region is the right official label.
Region BARMM

Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM)

A special autonomous region label that should be preserved exactly in place-based official content because it carries administrative meaning.

Use it when the address or registration record sits in BARMM and a precise PSGC path is needed for downstream geographic lookup.
Region NCR

National Capital Region

The national capital region is a dense administrative and business geography where location pages often support permits, filings and regional comparisons.

Use it when the business address or local record is in Metro Manila and you want the official geography layer instead of a city-only label.
Region CAR

Cordillera Administrative Region

A mountainous northern geography layer that matters for place-based classification, local government workflows and region-filtered statistics.

Use it whenever a page needs the official Cordillera geography and you plan to link down to province or municipality content later.

What PSGC helps with

The geography layer is useful when the question is where a business sits, where a permit applies or how to aggregate by location.

Business location

Use PSGC when the address or branch location needs a standard regional label before you drill down to a city or barangay.

LGU workflow

PSGC helps keep local permit and reporting records aligned when the same place appears in multiple administrative systems.

Location plus industry

PSGC pairs naturally with PSIC when a page or dataset needs both the business activity and the geographic context.
