Workers in this minor group plan and manage the necessary operations to log trees for sale or delivery of forest products to wholesale buyers, marketing organizations or at markets at a sustainable basis. Their tasks include: a) marking merchantible trees to be felled and estimating volume of timber; b) marking trees to be cut; c) trimming, topping and felling trees and sawing them into logs; d) scaling and rescaling of felled trees; e) cutting trees into logs; f) cutting logs into timber; g) loading and unloading out timbers, other semi-finished or finished forest products; h) replanting and replacing cut trees; i) processing logs into timber, plywood, veneer, pulp or paper and other forest products; j) establishing and maintaining processing plants.
